The original Animal Crossing is fully tested and confirmed for fish. Other titles and bug tracking are in active development — report issues on Discord.

Track bugs alongside fish in all supported games. Separate or combined Fish + Bugs mode.

Setup Guide

Getting started

No installer. Extract the zip, run the exe, done.

Download & Extract

Unzip anywhere. Keep all files in the same folder.

Launch

Run ACAutoTracker.exe. Windows may show SmartScreen — click "More info → Run anyway".

Pick Your Game

Select from the game dropdown in the top bar. Settings are saved per game.

Track

Click any fish or bug to toggle caught. Use Game Capture for automatic OCR detection.

⚙️ Menu Options

Size / Columns — set card size and column count, or leave on Auto to fill the window
Gap — vertical spacing between rows
Image Source — switch between artwork, icons, or in-game sprites where available
Show Names — toggle fish name labels on or off
Invert — swap colour/gray so caught fish turn gray instead of uncaught
Sound — optional catch sound with volume slider
Backgrounds — solid colour, tiled pattern, or custom image
Profiles — save/load complete tracker states by name
Reorder — sort A-Z, Z-A, or manual drag reorder

🔗 LiveSplit TCP

In LiveSplit settings confirm server port is 16834
Start via Control → Start TCP Server
Click LiveSplit in the tracker — dot turns green when connected
Match split names in both apps — fish targets sync as you split
Tip: set LiveSplit to auto-start TCP server on launch
Use no-catch splits for intro/outro segments

📷 Game Capture / OCR

Click Game Capture in the top bar
Select your game window from the dropdown and hit Start Capture
Close the window — capture keeps running in the background. The button turns green while active
Use Select Region to limit OCR to just the catch text area — reduces false positives
Default interval is 100ms with Fast OCR. Increase if your PC struggles
The detection log persists even with the window closed — reopen to review
Export Log saves the full session log as a .txt for bug reports
